When you see an ad
Only on the Free plan, and only when you ask for one:
- when your daily Masa allowance runs out, a short rewarded video tops it up (up to five a day);
- after your three free Chatter Docs in a month, a rewarded video unlocks each extra one.
There are no banners, and no ads in chats, calls, statuses or documents.
Who serves them
Ads are served by Google AdMob under Google's privacy terms. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to choose and measure ads; you can reset it or opt out of personalised ads in your phone's settings.
What advertisers never get
Advertisers never see your messages, contacts, phone number or username. We never use your content for ad targeting, never sell your data to advertisers, and will always mark sponsored content clearly if we ever introduce it.
No ads at all
Plus, Pro and Business have no ads. If an ad is offensive, misleading or broken, tell us under Settings → Help and feedback and we will block it.
