What to send us
If you believe content shared through ChatterHub — a profile, a status, a group, a Chatter Doc, a Verse list or a public link — infringes a copyright, trademark or other right you own or represent, email legal@chatterhub.co.za with:
- your name, address, phone number and email address;
- the work or mark you say is infringed, and proof that you hold the rights or may act for the holder;
- exactly where the material is: a link, username, group name or screenshot;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised; and
- a statement that your notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act, with your signature.
Incomplete notices cannot be actioned.
What happens next
We do not monitor private chats; we act on shared and public material and on accounts. When a valid notice arrives we remove or disable the material, tell the person who posted it, and give them the chance to reply with a counter-notice. If the counter-notice is valid and you do not start legal proceedings within ten business days, we may restore the material.
Repeat infringers and false notices
Accounts that infringe repeatedly are closed. False or careless notices waste everyone's time and may make you liable for the costs they cause, so please be sure before you send one.
